ST. JOSEPH THE WALKER? Do walkers-for-exercise have a previously undiscovered patron saint? An ad in The Times for the Aug. 28 concert of singer-guitarist John Michael Talbot lists the site as St. Joseph the Walker Church in Canoga Park.

Actually, the venue is the sanctuary at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. The saint is Joseph, the father of Jesus and described as a carpenter in the Gospel of Matthew.

“It was a long way to Bethlehem, but St. Joseph the Walker is not correct,” quipped Toni Copsey, a secretary at the church.
