Dead Body Leads to Charge Against Son
Associated Press
MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — A man was charged with failing to report a death after authorities discovered his mother’s mummified remains in her suburban Cleveland home.
The body of 83-year-old Lillian Lozier was found wrapped tightly in a blanket Friday. Cuyahoga County workers had been trying to give the woman her welfare check, but 58-year-old Herbert Lozier repeatedly told them she could not come to the door or be disturbed, officials said.
Mrs. Lozier appeared to have been dead about two years, police said.
