Big Hotel Chains Offer Hot Summer Discounts
Several major hotel chains are offering discounted room rates in conjunction with summer promotional programs.
Radisson Hotels International is offering its “Shades of Summer” promotion through Sept. 6, with reduced rates at about 260 hotels in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe and Australia. Per-room rates, ranging from $49 to $190, are at least 25% off regular prices. Advance reservations are required. Children under 17 stay free when accompanied by a parent.
Hilton Hotels and its international division, Conrad Hotels, are offering a “SummerSaver” program through Sept. 6, with as much as 40% off standard rates at more than 165 participating hotels. A three-night minimum stay is required. Rates, based on single or double occupancy, range from $42 to $165 per room, depending on location. Children sharing a room with a parent stay free.
More than 200 Forte Hotels in Europe, North Africa, North America, the Caribbean and Bermuda are continuing the Forte 30 program throughout 1993, whereby travelers receive a 30% discount off regular rates if they confirm their room reservation with a credit card at least 30 days in advance. In another perk, guests using the program can receive a 30% discount off the regular rate for an Avis rental car.
