BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : ANGELS : Snow Is Recalled, Will Play Tuesday

First baseman J.T. Snow, apparently having worked out the kinks in his swing at triple-A Vancouver, will rejoin the Angels for Tuesday’s game at Baltimore. To make room on the roster, the Angels optioned first baseman Ty Van Burkleo to Vancouver.

“I went down there with a plan in my mind,” said Snow, who batted .340 with five home runs and 24 RBIs in 23 games in triple A. “I just had to work things out. It was kind of refreshing to be left alone. I was able to work things out without every game being judged or rated.

“It’s helped me get my confidence back and my swing back.”

Snow began the season by hitting .343 with six homers and 17 RBIs in April, but slumped to .233 with 11 homers and 43 RBIs before being demoted on July 26.
