FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Sobriety Checkpoint to Be Set Up Tonight
The Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach police departments will conduct a sobriety checkpoint beginning at 10 tonight on Warner Avenue near Newland Street.
The checkpoint will last until 3 a.m. Saturday.
Fountain Valley police have been holding a checkpoint each month since October.
So far, 59 people stopped at the checkpoints have been arrested for drinking and driving, police said.
The checkpoints are supported through a grant Fountain Valley received from the California Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
