Ducks Offering 14-Game Ticket Plans

The Mighty Ducks will offer 14-game mini-season ticket packages starting at $224, the club announced Wednesday.

Each plan includes games against the Kings and the Ducks’ other Pacific Division opponents.

Plan A includes a game against the Chicago Blackhawks and plan B includes a game against the defending Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens. Plan C will include a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who feature Mario Lemieux and former King Marty McSorley.

Kerry Moloney of Cypress College will attend the 1993 Amateur Softball Assn. U.S. national team camp, which begins today in Oklahoma City, Okla. Moloney, the co-most valuable player of the Orange Empire Conference, is one of 110 players invited. The top 60 will play in the ’94 Olympic Festival and then the U.S. national squad will be cut to 17.

Four nationally respected collegiate soccer teams will play in a tournament this weekend at Cal State Fullerton beginning Saturday, when North Carolina, ranked 15th by Soccer America, plays UCLA at 2 p.m.

Fullerton, a top-20 team last year with 10 starters back, will play Oregon State at 4 p.m.

The tournament concludes Monday, when UCLA plays Oregon State at 2 p.m., followed by Fullerton and North Carolina at 4 p.m.

Aliso Niguel has hired Rich LaRue as wrestling coach.

LaRue, an assistant at Mission Viejo last year, was at Capistrano Valley the previous year.

He will teach math and be an assistant football coach. He is seeking lower-level wrestling coaches and matches to complete the first-year school’s 1993-94 wrestling schedule. He can be reached at 831-5590.
