The Oakland Athletics activated Mark McGwire from the disabled list. The first baseman had suffered from torn tissue in his left heel.
McGwire did not appear in the A’s starting lineup Friday night against the Baltimore Orioles.
He was put on the 15-day disabled list May 14 and sat out 100 games because of the injury. McGwire still must serve a three-day suspension for a fight Aug. 24.
