PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Nine New Starters Will Face Vikings

When the Raiders open against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, they will have nine first-team players who were not starters in last season’s regular-season opener.

On offense they will have five new starters in quarterback Jeff Hostetler, tailback Greg Robinson, offensive tackle Gerald Perry and wide receivers Tim Brown and Alexander Wright. The new starters on defense are middle linebacker Joe Kelly, safety Derrick Hoskins and defensive linemen Greg Townsend and Chester McGlockton.

The Raiders will have until 1 p.m. today to make a decision whether to activate wide receiver/kick returner Rocket Ismail. The Raiders have three injured players who will sit out Sunday’s game--tailback Nick Bell (hamstring), offensive tackle Greg Skrepenak (ankle) and fullback Kevin Smith (groin).
