COMMERCE : Bilingual Classes Set on Parenting Skills
Free classes on parenting will be offered this month at the Commerce City Hall North Annex.
Four sessions will be held for parents and teen-agers. The classes, sponsored by the Montebello Unified School District and the city, will focus on one topic each Thursday through Sept. 30. This week’s class will discuss self-esteem, followed by communications skills, discipline and child-abuse prevention.
Classes will be presented in Spanish from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and in English from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Child care is available for children 3 and older. No reservations are required. The North Annex is at 5550 Harbor St.
