But Has That Family Become Dysfunctional?

Ever since John Robinson returned to USC, I keep hearing that USC is one big close-knit family and that being a Trojan is something very special. It is asserted that a person must be one to truly understand what it is like and appreciate what is involved.

However, when one considers the lawsuits against the school and its athletic department by Marvin Cobb and, most recently, Marianne Stanley, that illusion is quickly shattered. In reality, USC is a club, a wealthy, all-white men’s club that excludes blacks and women.
