A judge sentenced a 67-year-old grandmother to up to 14 years in prison, citing a lengthy rap sheet that includes altering a check she received for making doilies.

Winnifred Patricio has 11 felony and 10 misdemeanor convictions for theft and forgery.

Her latest offense was a probation violation for attending bingo games. Patricio had been put on probation for altering a $12 check to make it read $112.

Muskegon County Circuit Judge Michael Kobza said he had run out of sentencing alternatives and gave her from two to 14 years in prison. At one court appearance, she struck two sheriff’s deputies. At another she called the judge “honey” and told him he was good-looking.
