Man Shot in Alley Dies at Hospital

CHATSWORTH — A man in his late 30s died after he was shot in an alley early Sunday morning, Los Angeles police said.
The unidentified man was shot once in the chest and died at 5:20 a.m. at a local hospital, said Detective Tony Foti. Officers answering a report of shots being fired discovered the man in an apartment at 8834 Topanga Canyon Blvd., police said.
The man ran into the apartment after he was wounded in an alley that runs behind the building, said Officer Geoff Tavares. There have been no arrests.
