Sonoco Acquires Engraph for $300 Million: The Hartsville, S.C.-based packaging supplier announced it will make a tender offer of $15.63 for each share of Engraph Inc., a smaller packaging supplier based in Atlanta. The boards of both companies approved the deal. Sonoco Products Inc., with sales of $1.8 billion in 1992, hopes to expand its business in the United States and overseas with the acquisition, Sonoco Chairman Charles W. Coker said.
