Ventura County sheriff’s deputies have issued a statewide police bulletin for a 19-year-old man who allegedly abducted his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend in Thousand Oaks, shot at her mother and sped away in a car.
Sheriff’s Lt. Lary Reynolds said Mark Scott Sarrazin forced Stephanie Campbell into a car about 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of Westlake Boulevard and then drove off.
The girl’s mother, Linda Campbell, told detectives that she felt sure that Sarrazin had fired a shot at her during the kidnaping, Reynolds said.
Sarrazin, described as a slender white man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, was believed to be driving a late-model Chevrolet S10 Blazer without license plates, police said.
Reynolds said sheriff’s detectives had no leads on the pair’s whereabouts.
