Share

Construction has begun on a 288-student dormitory at Pepperdine University, a spokesman for the project said.

The $5.5-million project is under construction on a two-acre site overlooking the Pacific Ocean, said architect David Jay Flood.

The Mediterranean-styled dorm features a white stucco exterior and red clay tile roof. Its six buildings will include student housing and will be linked to six common facilities containing lounges, laundry facilities and study areas. The 75,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed in April.
