A reward is being offered for information that helps police catch vandals who spray-painted a water tower in Port Hueneme and private property along Pleasant Valley Road.

The vandalism occurred the night of Sept. 8. Anyone with information about the incidents should call Port Hueneme Crime Stoppers at 986-TALK. Callers may be eligible for a reward if their tip leads to an arrest and the filing of criminal charges.

In another Port Hueneme case, Crime Stoppers paid a $150 reward for a tip that led to the Aug. 12 arrest of Timothy Carroll, 26, on suspicion of selling narcotics and possessing a weapon. Carroll, who was on parole, was returned to prison to serve a one-year sentence, authorities said.

The Crime Stoppers board of directors also recently authorized a $750 reward to a caller whose tip led to the Aug. 1 arrest of two Thousand Oaks men charged with bank robbery.

Arturo Lara, 33, was indicted by a federal grand jury on eight counts of bank robbery and Marc Miller, 23, was indicted on two counts of bank robbery. The banks were located in Camarillo, Thousand Oaks and the San Fernando Valley.
