A reward is being offered by Ventura County Crime Stoppers for information about the attempted kidnaping of an attorney from his Westlake office.

The incident occurred about 9:30 a.m. Sept. 2 in the underground parking garage of an office complex on Westlake Boulevard. As the attorney walked to the elevator, he was stopped by a man wearing a dark blue suit who said he had a gun and threatened to kill him.

The man ordered the attorney to walk to his car. While he was opening his car, the attorney managed to escape and the suspect ran from the garage.
