Prime Time Shuttle Settles by Paying Fine

Share

In a settlement with the California Public Utilities Commission, Prime Time Shuttle International Inc. in Sun Valley said it agreed to pay a fine of $80,000 and license its independent drivers at a cost of $60,000.

The settlement came after the utilities commission found that the shuttle company employed some drivers as independent contractors without first getting licenses from the commission. Prime Time, which has been under Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization since early last year, contended that it should not have to license its 120 independent drivers. But the company said it settled to avoid expenses in contesting the case.

Prime Time said it expected to emerge from Chapter 11 in December.
