OXNARD : 3 Men Indicted on Drug Charges
Three Ventura County men have been indicted on drug charges in connection with a monthlong investigation that netted $50,000 worth of cocaine and heroin, authorities said.
Juan Manuel Perez, 24, of Camarillo; Sergio Granados, 32, of Nyeland Acres, and Javier Gonzales, 19, of Oxnard were indicted Friday by the Ventura County grand jury on charges of possession for sale of cocaine and heroin.
The three are scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Ventura County Superior Court. They are being held without bail in County Jail.
Five other suspects arrested Sept. 14 with the trio have been released for lack of evidence, Deputy Dist. Atty. Greg Phillips said.
The investigation was conducted by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, Oxnard Police and the FBI. The drugs were seized at two residences in Oxnard and one in Nyeland Acres, an unincorporated neighborhood north of Oxnard.
