THOUSAND OAKS : 2 Concerts to Benefit Habitat for Humanity

Cal Lutheran University will sponsor two choral concerts Saturday as a benefit for the local chapters of Habitat for Humanity.

The nonprofit group, which builds and rehabilitates housing for low-income residents, hopes to raise $34,000 from the concerts, according to university spokeswoman Lynda Fulford.

Admission to the 2 p.m. matinee costs $5 for youth under 18 and $10 for adults. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are $10 and $15. Both performances will take place in the Cal Lutheran auditorium.

The concerts will feature popular, classical and spiritual music performed by the university choir. Vocal ensembles from seven area high schools will also participate. They include: Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Newbury Park, Moorpark, Royal, Agoura and La Reina high schools.

All proceeds will go directly to Habitat for Humanity. For more information, call the university relations office at 493-3151.
