There will be betting today on the $200,000 Bay Meadows Handicap, with Beyton the probable favorite in the seven-horse field.

Beyton ran a strong third, losing to Bien Bien by 2 1/4 lengths, in the Sunset Handicap at Hollywood Park in July, then got off to a late start and beat only one horse in the Del Mar Handicap on Sept. 5.

Also entered in today’s 1 1/8-mile grass race is Lissitki, who has won three in a row but is untested in stakes competition this year. The high weights at 114 pounds are Beyton and Have Fun, with Slew Of Damascus, Lovely One, River Traffic and Fast Cure rounding out the field.

Peteski, who bypassed the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes in favor of the Canadian Triple Crown, is the 8-5 favorite in the Super Derby.
