Where’s the Fair?

I was dismayed that there was no mention of the Los Angeles County Fair in Mary Frances Smith’s article (“California Corner,” Sept. 12), even though it has been mentioned on other days, and in other sections, in The Times. The “Official Program,” which was delivered with our paper the past few days, even listed the Los Angeles Times as one of the sponsors. Certainly this traditional annual family event in Los Angeles County deserves the support of your section more than the out-of-the-area events she listed.
