Cooper Named to Financial Post at DIC Entertainment

Burbank cartoon studio DIC Entertainment has named Bill Cooper senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Cooper was an accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. in the 1970s and joined ABC-TV as an accountant in 1980. He later was vice president of financial controls and accounting for Capital Cities/ABC Video Enterprises.

DIC also named Lisa Sumja vice president of domestic sales.

Century Group Ltd. has named Martin Weisman vice president of domestic sales.

Armando Nunez Jr. has been named executive vice president of international sales for Viacom Enterprises.

Valerie Schaer was named to head the creative division of Whittle Communications’ Special Report Network division.

Polygram Group Distribution has named John Vigna senior vice president and chief financial officer, David Blaine senior vice president of business development, John Mangini senior vice president of distribution operations, Steve Corbin vice president of sales and Curt Eddy vice president of field marketing.

Polygram has also named Skip Smith vice president of sales administration, Margaret House-Williams associate director of Polygram Group Distribution Services, Gene Silverman president of Polygram Video, Pat Monaco senior vice president and general manager of Independent Label Sales and Robert Bell senior vice president of Polygram Special Markets.
