Under the state Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, Ventura County must report each week the toxic and potentially toxic materials discharged. The discharges are investigated by the county Environmental Health Division. DATE: Sept. 20 LOCATION: 305 N. Ventura Ave., Ventura MATERIAL: 125 gallons of paint thinner *DATE: Sept. 27 LOCATION: Ventura Freeway at California 126, Ventura MATERIAL: 10 gallons of diesel fuel *DATE: Sept. 27 LOCATION: Pacific Avenue at San Nicholas Street, Ventura MATERIAL: 2 gallons of sewage *DATE: Sept. 27 LOCATION: 7895 Camp Chaffe Road, Ventura MATERIAL: Unknown amount of natural gas
