A man who was apparently shot in the head and chest was found bleeding in an Oxnard Laundromat parking lot Monday night and later died of his injuries, authorities said.

Oxnard police said they found the unidentified victim shortly after 8 p.m., when officers responded to a call about a shooting at a Laundromat in the 100 block of Pleasant Valley Road near Saviers Road, Cmdr. Gordon Hubbard said.

The victim was rushed to St. John’s Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m., within minutes of his arrival, a nursing supervisor said.
