Jeanine Basinger, author of “A Woman’s View: How Hollywood Spoke to Women 1930-1960,” will appear at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Oct. 15 to sign books and to introduce and discuss “Kitty Foyle,” for which Ginger Rogers won the Academy Award as best actress.

The book signing is in conjunction with a three-month retrospective of women’s films made between 1930 and 1960.

Tickets are $4 for museum members, members of the American Film Institute, seniors and students with ID, and $6 for members of the general public.
