NORTHRIDGE : CSUN Development Office Gets New Chief
A former assistant dean at Tulane Law School has been named to head the University Development Office at Cal State Northridge.
CSUN President Blenda J. Wilson appointed Michael Hammershmidt to spearhead the university’s plans to raise money from public and private donors and establish partnerships in area businesses.
Hammershmidt has more than 10 years of development experience at major universities. He was most recently assistant dean for external affairs at Tulane Law School in New Orleans and was formerly director of regional development at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Brandeis and is a member of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.
