MOORPARK : Colleges Plan Meeting on Paris Program

Share

Ventura and Moorpark colleges will hold an orientation meeting Monday for their spring abroad program in Paris.

The program is open to anybody who has taken the colleges’ English 1A class or who meets the colleges’ English requirements. The program, “Paris in the Spring,” will begin Jan. 18, 1994, on the college campuses and then continue in Paris from Feb. 10 to May 12.

The cost of the program is $4,450, including a $100 refundable security deposit. For that price, students get round-trip air fare from LAX, accommodations in Paris and two meals a day, a Paris transit pass, orientation programs, and various activities and field trips around France.

The program cost does not include registration fees, however. Students--who do not need to be enrolled at the colleges prior to the spring semester--must take at least a 12-unit class load, choosing from among a selection of anthropology, English and humanities classes.

The Monday orientation meeting will be held in Room M-44 at Ventura College from 5 to 7 p.m. For more information, call Pam Sheridan at Moorpark College at 378-1657 or Karla Rolff at Ventura College at 654-6400.
