If fox hunting you would go, it’s time to pack your tally-ho.

Cross Country International Equestrian Vacations is offering weeklong packages in Devon, England, for experienced hunters and equestrian wannabes who’d like to learn the nuances of the sport. All trips coincide with the English hunting season, which runs from mid-October through Feb. 28.

For the novice, activities include a day of riding to limber up hunting field skills, combined with a review of customs (Was that the dinner horn or did they see a fox?). There are days with the Dulverton West Foxhounds and the Exmoor Foxhounds.

For more experienced hunters, the schedule gets under way with a full day of hunting on Day One. Worried about what to wear? Relax. Karen Lancaster, owner of the 5-year-old company, will send you a detailed list of what you’ll need.

The cost of the package for novices is $1,650 per person and $1,850 for experienced riders. The price includes all horses, equipment and hunting fees. It also covers three meals a day, VAT and lodging. If your significant other doesn’t ride, the company will arrange a week of alternative activities. Tariff: $650.
