HUNTINGTON BEACH : Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled for Friday
Police have scheduled a drunk-driving checkpoint for Friday on Magnolia Street between Yorktown and Garfield avenues. Traffic officers will monitor motorists between 9 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday.
The purpose of the checkpoint is “to raise the awareness of our citizens to the dangers of drunk and drugged drivers, and to take as many of them off the road as possible,” said Police Sgt. Tris Swan.
