A 5-year-old boy fell from a seventh-floor apartment Sunday and survived without breaking a bone.

Paul Rosen had no external injuries but was being evaluated for possible internal injuries, said New York Hospital spokeswoman Carolyn Migliore.

“It’s amazing to us that he survived this,” said the boy’s mother, Christine Rosen.

There were no guards on the windows of the Rosens’ Upper East Side apartment, said Sgt. Nick Vreeland, a police spokesman. City law requires window guards in apartments where children under 10 live.

Police said they were treating the fall as an accident and doubted that charges would be filed.

Rosen said her husband, Arthur, heard a moan and went to the child’s room to investigate. She said he noticed the window open, looked down seven floors and saw Paul trying to get up.

“He landed in the courtyard,” said the building’s doorman, Jose Rodriguez. “I thought he wasn’t going to make it ‘cause it’s concrete, but he looked like he was conscious. He was crying.”
