Milken’s Teaching
* In response to “Class, Please Welcome Michael Milken,” Oct. 18:
I am attending high school now but three years ago, I had Michael Milken for a math teacher. He was one of the most learned men I have ever met. He taught my class tricks on how to work on problems dealing with money and get the solution very easily. Just because he is a convicted felon does not mean that he is less learned. Teaching a class in finance at UCLA is not such an appalling thought. He happens to be extremely erudite in finance and is very capable of teaching a class in this.
He was enthusiastic, punctual, assertive, and inspired me and my class to understand and appreciate math more. My class will never forget him.
