VENTURA : Motorist Shot in Leg After Confrontation
A Ventura man was shot in the leg after confronting three men who pulled up alongside him at a Ventura intersection, police said Monday.
Michael Lambert, 21, was stopped at Harbor Boulevard and Peninsula Street in the Ventura Keys neighborhood about 7:30 p.m. Sunday when another car pulled alongside, Ventura police said.
The men in the second car “began staring” at Lambert, who got out of his car and confronted the men, police said.
A passenger in the second car then got out and shot Lambert once in the leg, according to police.
Lambert, who was driven to Ventura County Medical Center by an unidentified passenger in his car, was treated and released from the hospital’s emergency room, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Investigators are searching for three Latino men, all believed to be in their 20s, in connection with the shooting.
