BUENA PARK : Police Identify Body Found in Warehouse
Police on Tuesday released the name of a 39-year-old man whose body was found in a burning warehouse this week.
The victim was identified as Steve William Couroissier, who lived in the warehouse at 8561 Roland St. The warehouse apparently was set on fire late Sunday night. Firefighters discovered the body in a chair, said Buena Park Police Sgt. Robert Chaney.
Chaney said Couroissier, who was originally from Canada, died after being hit several times in the head with a blunt object. His attacker apparently set the victim on fire and then set the warehouse on fire in an attempt to cover up the slaying, Chaney said.
Police are searching for Couroissier’s van, a 1976 Chevrolet van with a black hood bra.
