Share

A director of the water district that serves 6,500 people in parts of Laguna Beach, Dana Point and Laguna Niguel has resigned his post, leaving vacant a position that will be filled this month. The district has an $8-million annual budget.

P. Norman Anderson, who lives in the Three Arch Bay community in Laguna Beach, said he was stepping down from the South Coast Water District board after 22 years so that he could spend more time with his business. Anderson, 66, is an independent insurance broker. The board is now accepting applications from those interested in being appointed to fill the term, which expires in November, 1994.

Applicants must be registered voters who live in the district, between Nyes Place in Laguna Beach and Street of the Green Lantern in north Dana Point, extending inland to Camino del Avion.

Box 30205, Laguna Niguel, 92607-0295.

Interviews are scheduled for Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. and Nov. 20 at 8:30 a.m. at the district headquarters at 31592 West St., South Laguna.

The board of directors will make the appointment at its regular meeting on Nov. 23.
