Santiago High School in Garden Grove played host to Assemblyman Tom Umberg (D-Garden Grove), who spent five hours on campus recently to talk to students about their needs and wishes for education. “I was particularly impressed and profoundly moved by the faculty’s commitment and dedication to the needs of their students,” Umberg said after the visit. “Moreover, I was inspired by the students’ earnest desire to learn, despite the many obstacles of poverty, language barriers and cultural and ethnic tensions.”
