Belize Leader to Speak at Public Meeting
Belize Prime Minister Manuel Esquivel will speak at a town hall meeting as part of a four-day trip to Los Angeles.
Esquivel, who is scheduled to arrive Thursday night, will participate in a radio call-in show on KPFK-FM 90.7 on Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Later that day, the public is invited to a reception for Esquivel at Holman Methodist Church Auditorium, 3320 W. Adams Blvd., from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Nov. 14, Esquivel and members of his cabinet will speak from 2 to 5 p.m. at Jessie Owens Park Auditorium, 9651 S. Western Ave. in South-Central. An estimated 30,000 Belizeans live in the Central Los Angeles area, according to organizers of the meeting.
