FULLERTON : Purse-Theft Pair Sought by Police
A pair of female thieves who have been stealing purses and other valuables from medical offices are being sought by police, Sgt. Glenn Deveney said.
The women enter offices together, and one asks the receptionist to show her to the restroom, Deveney said. While the receptionist is distracted, the other woman steals her purse and other items, he said.
Deveney said six similar thefts were reported last week, and six others over the past two months.
The women, one of whom is in her 30s and the other in her late 40s, target medical or dental offices, Deveney said.
The two thieves have illegally used checks and credit cards they stole from receptionists, Deveney said.
