60 Safe After Ship Runs Aground Off Scotland

LERWICK, Scotland —
Rescue helicopters and a lifeboat battled through a North Sea gale Tuesday to safely rescue all 60 people from a grounded Latvian fishing vessel.
The Coast Guard said the 2,774-ton Lunohods-1 ran onto rocks before dawn about 1 1/2 miles southeast of Lerwick, the capital of the northeast Shetland Islands.
