Two men face arraignment Monday on kidnaping charges after they allegedly abducted a woman from her job in El Monte, held her prisoner for 30 hours inside a Montebello garage and demanded $100,000 from her family.

Valentin Trujillo, 22, of Pomona and Isidoro Barragan, 22, of Los Angeles are scheduled to appear in Los Angeles Municipal Court on charges of kidnaping for ransom, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said. Both are in custody in lieu of $150,000 bail each.

Investigators said Maria Rodriguez, 31, left work about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and found a man, believed to be Trujillo, in the back seat of her car. With a stun gun at her neck, Rodriguez was forced to drive a few blocks and was transferred to a white auto, allegedly driven by Barragan.

During her captivity, authorities said, Rodriguez’s family in Baldwin Park received numerous telephone calls to set up a money drop. She was freed after sheriff’s deputies saw a man, later identified as Trujillo, using a pay phone in Baldwin Park at 11:45 p.m. Thursday to call Rodriguez’s family.
