Perceptronics Inc., a Woodland Hills maker of computer simulation software for commercial and military training, reported that it narrowed its losses on a steep decline in revenues in its latest quarter and six months.
The company’s loss for its fiscal second quarter that ended Sept. 30 was $94,051, in contrast with a $2.91-million loss a year earlier. Its revenue plunged 41% for the quarter, to $1.41 million from $2.4 million in revenue a year before.
For the six months, Perceptronics lost $574,900, while its revenue fell 57% to $3.32 million. It lost $2.9 million on $7.79 million in revenue in the same period a year ago.
Perceptronics said the reduced losses resulted from its cost-cutting program, designed to bring the company’s operating costs in line with lower revenues.
