Medical Lab Acquired: A Tarzana-based laboratory testing service company said Monday that it has bought Central Reference Laboratory, a regional medical laboratory in Orange County, for $4.5 million.

The buyer, Unilab Corp., said it will combine some functions but that most of Central Reference’s 70 employees in Anaheim will remain. Central Reference has also absorbed Unilab’s eight-employee operation in Orange County.
