Rain to End Today, Forecasters Predict
Weather forecasters are predicting that the scattered showers and sprinkles will end this afternoon, leaving the skies mostly clear at least through Thanksgiving and on into the weekend.
U.S. Weather Service forecasters said most of Ventura County saw only trace amounts of rainfall from the scattered clouds that passed over the region beginning Sunday.
Today’s continuing moisture will make roads slick, but is not expected to cause major problems for commuters, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol said.
The mountains will get only a dusting of snow, forecasters said, and roads will probably be clear for those headed to higher elevations.
The weak storm front should be pushed out of the area by increasing westerly winds, the weather service spokesman said. The blustery conditions with winds from 20 to 25 m.p.h. will persist through Saturday, the spokesman said.
Forecasters are predicting cooler temperatures with daytime highs in the 60s and nighttime lows in the 40s through the weekend.
