LOS ANGELES : Fugitive Arrested, Held for Extradition
A Los Angeles man wanted for drug trafficking and other charges has been ordered held for extradition to California after his arrest in Connecticut.
Brian Joseph Cullen, 34, was arrested over the weekend at a bar in North Stonington, Conn., on a federal warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, authorities said. Cullen was sought by Los Angeles authorities on drug, weapons and escape charges.
He was being transported to a Los Angeles court Jan. 14, when he ran from a line of other prisoners in a secured holding area.
Cullen then scaled an 18-foot fence and escaped.
