Dole Food to Cut 60 Jobs in Sales, Marketing Merger

Dole Food Co. in Westlake Village said it will combine the sales and marketing arms of its packed food division and its dried fruit and nut divisions, resulting in job cuts affecting 60 people.

Some of these workers will be offered transfers, and the rest will be laid off with at least 60 days’ notice, severance pay, continued benefits and help with job placement. In the third quarter, Dole’s net income fell 76% to $5.1 million, from $21.3 million a year earlier.
