Borden’s Chairman Quits in Shake-Up: Anthony S. D’Amato abruptly quit and was replaced by an outside member of the board in an apparent shake-up of the food manufacturer’s management. Shames, 53, the former head of Stride Rite Corp. who became Borden’s president and chief operating officer last summer.
