David Handelman Is Leaving Fox After 19 Years

David Y. Handelman is leaving 20th Century Fox after 19 years.

The highly regarded attorney, who was senior vice president for external and legal affairs, says he plans to pursue other interests. Handelman has been involved in many areas at Fox. Most recently, he was one of the point men in Fox’s bid to expand the studio lot.

Stanley Winslow has been named the vice president of promotion and marketing at Pendulum Records. Winslow is a record industry veteran who began his career 15 years ago.

At Hanna-Barbera Productions, Jeff Holder has been promoted to vice president of development and programming. Also, Tom Barreca was named vice president of classic characters. Stephanie Jo Meckler has been named senior director of business and legal affairs.

KCOP-TV Channel 13 has promoted Teresa Garay to manager of community relations. She succeeds Marilyn Solomon, who is director of public affairs and program development, for parent company Chris-Craft Television.

In London, Paul Connolly has been promoted to managing director of MCA Music Ltd., replacing Nick Phillips, who becomes managing director of MCA Records U.K.

Amy Handelsman joins Cramer Co. as a senior vice president of development, responsible for the independent production company’s motion picture and TV projects.

Dan Ireland has been named senior vice president of production at Cineville Inc.

Walt Disney Pictures and sister company Touchstone Pictures has promoted Katie O’Connell to senior vice president of business affairs. O’Connell will serve as the studio’s liaison to producer Joe Roth’s Caravan Pictures.
