‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ as a Lesson in Banking
In reference to James Bates’ “Yule With Less ‘Wonderful Life’? Tune In” (Nov. 23):
Having watched this great patriotic film many times, I have noticed that it is not a Christmas story at all but a political commentary on the (private) Federal Reserve banking system and the disintegration of our society because of their corrupt and heartless policies.
For example: interest on the money we (the Treasury) print for them at paper cost! Then it is loaned back to us at face value plus interest! Welcome to “Potterville U.S.A.” If Bedford Falls was a fictitious town, why were the Rockefellers mentioned? That was not an accident!
Also, it is not a Christmas bell at the end of the film but a bell that said “Liberty!” So, what was thought to be a family film full of sentimentality was an honest look at the tyrannical government ruled by bankers that Jefferson warned us about.
