USC : Christmas Trees to Be Given to the Needy

Volunteers will be distributing free Christmas trees to people who cannot afford them, the disabled and to senior citizens Monday through Thursday in USC’s Parking Lot S on Vermont Avenue just south of Jefferson Boulevard.
The giveaway is sponsored by the Bob Porter Foundation, the USC office of Civic and Community Relations and USC Auxiliary Services.
Hours of distribution will be noon to 6 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Handmade decorations by local Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls will be given away with each tree.
