OXNARD, PORT HUENEME : Revelers Offered Free Tows, Rides
As part of a nationwide campaign against drunk driving, four Oxnard towing companies are offering free tows and rides home to residents who drink too much during the holiday season in either Oxnard or Port Hueneme.
To get the free ride and tow, residents can call 483-6556 at any time of day or night.
The annual program will run through Jan. 2.
The offer is available to anyone who overindulges at parties, local bars or other holiday festivities, said Dan McLaren, owner of Airport Chevron & Tow Service in Oxnard, one of the companies participating in the program.
People who call for the free service will be asked only their name and address, McLaren said.
McCarty & Sons Towing, Owl Towing & Storage, and Bob’s Towing, all in Oxnard, are also participating.
